Structure before volume

Faces do not fall in one place. Before I touch a syringe I assess where support has been lost, because adding product to a hollow cheek often solves the fold you actually came in about. That order — structure first, then detail — is why conservative treatment plans look better than chasing individual lines.

Starting small on lips

Most first-time lip clients need half a syringe, not a full one. I would rather you leave wondering whether anyone will notice and come back in a month for more than have you living with a result you have to explain. Swelling peaks around day two and settles by the end of the first week.

Safety and reversibility

I use hyaluronic acid fillers, which can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you ever change your mind or if a result needs correction. I keep it in the room for every filler appointment, I aspirate where it is appropriate, and I know the vascular anatomy of every area I treat.

How long it lasts

Depending on the product and the area, expect roughly nine to eighteen months, with lips on the shorter end because they move constantly. Filler does not simply disappear on a deadline — we reassess and top up where the result has softened rather than starting over.

Common questions

Will people know I had filler?

Not if we treat conservatively and build gradually. The results people notice are usually the ones where too much product went into lips or cheeks in a single visit.

Does it hurt?

The fillers I use contain lidocaine, and I apply topical numbing first for lips. Most clients describe pressure rather than pain.

What is the downtime?

Plan on one to three days of light swelling, and possible bruising for up to a week. Avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and fish oil beforehand where medically appropriate.

Can I combine it with a wrinkle relaxer?

Frequently, yes — relaxers handle movement lines while filler restores support. We can do both in the same visit.
